The series itself is a compilation of photographs that Ling progressively took during his limited presence in Hong Kong throughout the summer holidays of 2021-2024 and during the gap year in 2025.
Despite feeling disconnected from Hong Kong most of the time, he lives in the mutating metropolis, improvising the pace of life by concentrating on the act of taking photographs—inhales and exhales, the silent love to the city.
These photos are the pillars of Ling’s bastion in Hong Kong, where he seeks consolation from the tensions and burden that the city possesses and manifests in the trajectory of its very own fate.
